As the CEO, Joe focuses on the realization of gWorks’ purpose, vision, and mission through strategy, capital allocation, and mergers & acquisitions. As the President, he devotes his efforts to alignment behind and execution of our strategy and values.
After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, Joe served ten years in the United States Navy as an Intelligence Officer. Joe earned an MBA from Harvard Business School where he has also been a guest speaker about small business leadership on multiple occasions.
Joe joined gWorks in 2015 (then GIS Workshop) when he acquired the company.
As the Executive Vice President of Product, Janelle focuses on our mission of developing and delivering simple, intuitive products that solve our clients’ problems. Janelle has a wide range of experience including Client Success, Product Design, R&D, Sales, and Marketing.
Janelle obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in New York City.
Janelle has more than 15 years of experience working in client-facing positions, ensuring clients are receiving value throughout their entire life-cycle. She has been with gWorks since 2012.
As gWorks’ Controller, Gary is involved in the accounting operations of the company and establishing and monitoring internal controls. Gary brings a wealth of experience from decades working as a CFO or a Controller for a variety of companies including a venture capital company, a private equity company, a regional manufacturer, and a multi-location brick and mortar retailer with a large eCommerce presence.
Gary is a lifelong Nebraska resident and has been a member of the gWorks team since 2019.
Tyson is dedicated to ensuring every gWorks client is successful in using our software solutions to achieve their goals. As a former Nebraska State Senator representing a rural area, he understands the challenges that small and medium-sized communities face. After eight years in the Nebraska State Legislature, he wanted to continue to fight for rural communities from the private sector. He believes that in order for our communities to sustain and reinvigorate growth, they will need to adapt and improve efficiencies and works to help communities achieve that goal.
Tyson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and Theology from Georgetown University in Washington DC. After college, he moved back to the family ranch in O’Neill, Nebraska and ran for the Nebraska Legislature. Tyson was “termed out” of the Legislature after eight years and was then appointed as Nebraska Deputy State Treasurer before joining gWorks in 2020.
Quinton is the Vice President of Marketing who works with local governments to help them identify solutions that positively impact their communities.
He believes that leveraging technology to increase operational efficiency and accuracy, improve the quality of life for residents. and create a desired destination for businesses are top priorities for local governments of all sizes.
Quinton has over a decade of experience working in the GovTech space and enjoys meeting people that share his passion for making local government work better.
