As the CEO, Joseph focuses on the realization of gWorks’ purpose, vision, and mission through strategy and capital allocation. As the President, he devotes his efforts to alignment behind and execution of our strategy and values. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, Joseph served ten years in the United States Navy as an Intelligence Officer. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School where he has also been a guest speaker about small business leadership on multiple occasions. Joseph joined gWorks in 2015 (then GIS Workshop) when he acquired the company.
As the Chief Product Officer, Janelle focuses on our mission of designing and delivering simple, intuitive products that solve our clients' problems and ensuring clients are receiving value throughout their entire journey with gWorks. Janelle has more than 15 years of experience working in Client Success, Product Design & Ownership, R&D, Sales, and Marketing. Janelle obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and then a Master's Degree from Columbia University in New York City. She joined gWorks in 2012.
As the Chief Investment Officer, Steve focuses on accelerating strategic growth with special emphasis on executing gWorks' M&A strategy. Steve has over 25 years of corporate banking experience. He has a long history and proven track record of executive and senior management positions within the banking industry as President, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director and Head of Commercial/Private Banking. Steve earned a Bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix.
As the Chief Financial Officer, Dave is responsible for the finance, accounting, and administrative functions at gWorks. Dave is a strategic and operational oriented executive, with over 25 years of experience as the financial leader of private equity backed, high growth organizations. Dave graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors degree in finance and a Masters degree in accounting.
Luke brings over 22 years of professional experience in the medical device technology and data analytics industries. With a focus on continuous delivery of valuable solutions, he has successfully led major transformations throughout his career. Luke has played instrumental roles in driving innovation and efficiency, including leading the transition to cloud-native platforms and architecting solutions that leverage data analytics for actionable insights. His expertise spans across various domains, combining his deep technical knowledge with a passion for empowering teams and fostering innovation. With a Master's Degree in Molecular Neurobiology and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Luke brings a unique blend of technical expertise and industry insights to the success of gWorks.
As the Vice President of Marketing, Laura helps drive brand awareness, customer growth and business development opportunities for gWorks. She is a seasoned business leader with experience at high-growth startups, Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. Military. Her exceptional marketing skill set is built on the foundations of trust, technical expertise, and the ability to quickly identify and solve customer pain points. With a proven track record of building a world-class customer experience, Laura enjoys working with cross-functional teams to deliver strong business outcomes.
Quinton works with local governments to help them implement solutions that positively impact their communities. He believes that leveraging technology to increase operational efficiency and accuracy, improve the quality of life for residents, and create a desired destination for businesses are top priorities for local governments of all sizes. Quinton has over a decade of experience working in the GovTech space and enjoys meeting people that share his passion for making local government work better.
Joy is the Director of People Operations with over 15 years of experience in People Operations and a passion for merging talent strategy with business strategy. She is passionate about creating processes and policies to build HR departments from the ground up. She has a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and is a Gallup Strengths Coach certified professional, dedicated to understanding people and helping them thrive. With her strategic approach and expertise in enhancing employee experiences, she consistently prioritizes the company's culture and actively fosters engagement.
As the Director of Client Success Chris is responsible for the Client Success teams delivering on gWorks’ values and mission. He works with his teams to empower them and our customers to be successful in their positions and achieve their goals by teaching them how and why. Chris oversees the SimpleCity support team, GIS support team, Client Success Managers and the training department. Chris has 19 plus years of experience working in client facing positions in the financial services industry. Chris has been with gWorks since 2011 and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
As the Senior Director of Sales, April is an experienced Sales Leader who has a passion for coaching and mentoring sales professionals. Using the science of sales as the cornerstone of her methodologies, and her team centric approach to sales, April has developed highly productive and successful sales professionals throughout her career. April obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut where she was a member of the women's lacrosse team. April also has a Masters Degree in Advanced Level Coaching from Springfield College.
