LINCOLN, NE: The growing GovTech company gWorks is pleased to announce that is has acquired Omaha-based Data Technologies, Inc., a leading technology provider of financial accounting software for local governments in the Midwest.  gWorks completed the acquisition on February 1, 2019, and the combined company will operate under the gWorks brand.
“We’re excited, but more importantly, our clients that we’ve spoken to are exhilarated by the merging of these two outstanding GovTech companies,” said Joseph Heieck, CEO of gWorks.  “They see what we see: the combining of two client success-focused companies committed to simplifying small local governments’ lives with integrated, easy-to-use software applications, expert support, and ongoing education.”

“It’s comforting for our clients, our employees, and for me that that gWorks and Data Technologies are so similar in values, in delivering on client success, and in developing sophisticated, yet simple software,” said Al Grill, Founder and President of Data Technologies, Inc.  Grill will remain with gWorks for one year to help with the transition.  “I’m thrilled these two Nebraska companies are coming together because it’s a real win for our clients.”
